Buy WoW Forever Gold
by the pouch or by the chest
Forever has no realm list to scroll. Every region is one world, and what you choose is a ruleset and a side. Pick both in the trade window, take a pack, and finish the order with the seller — the WoW Forever gold comes to you inside the game.
Rates are the seller’s own, per single gold piece, in US dollars. You order and pay on the seller’s site; this page takes no payment and never asks for a login.
You pay on the seller’s site, not here. Delivery time is the seller’s own figure.
WoW Forever gold rates by ruleset
Forever replaced the realm list with four rulesets inside one world per region. Each ruleset is a separate economy with its own price for gold, so the list below reads like a realm screen: pick the line your character actually lives on.
| World | Type | Seller rate from | Smallest order | Live game opens |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Americas · NormalPvP only when you turn it on | PvE | $4.50 / gold | 50 gold | Nov 4 |
| Americas · PvPOpen-world PvP, always on | PvP | $4.50 / gold | 50 gold | Nov 4 |
| Americas · RoleplayNormal rules, in-character community | RP | $1.08 / gold | 20 gold | Nov 4 |
| Americas · HardcoreOne life per character | Hardcore | $1.08 / gold | 10 gold | Later this winter |
What a pack of WoW Forever gold buys
Forever keeps the old level-60 economy, where a few hundred gold is real money and 1,000 is the largest goal most characters ever set. 3 bills shape almost every order.
Riding comes first. The first tier costs 100 gold and the top tier 1,000, and the mount is part of the training both times, so there is no second purchase hiding behind the lesson. Most buyers are working toward one of those 2 figures, and the smaller packs in the trade window are steps on the way.
The second bill is speed. A vendor sells a consumable for 150 gold that adds 10% to mounted speed and lasts 360 hours of real time, about 15 days. Anyone who keeps it running pays for it again every couple of weeks, which turns a small purchase into a habit.
The third arrives with the raids. The first 3 open on December 9, and every guild that goes in starts buying flasks, food and potions in the same few days. A budget bought before that week usually costs less than the same budget bought during it.
| The bill | Gold | At the lowest seller rate (Roleplay, Alliance) |
|---|---|---|
| First riding tier, mount included | 100 gold | $108.14 |
| Speed consumable, +10% mounted speed for 360 hours | 150 gold | $162.20 |
| Top riding tier, mount included | 1,000 gold | $1,081.36 |

Why WoW Forever gold has no single price
Open three marketplaces and you will find three different figures for the same coin. The gap is not a mistake, and the lowest row is rarely the whole story.
A listing price says nothing about how much stock stands behind it, how quickly a courier can reach you or what the platform takes from each sale. Those 3 things separate a cheap row from a usable one, and they are why sellers who farm the same zones still post different numbers.
Two habits save money. Compare the rate for your own ruleset and faction rather than a headline figure, because a low price on PvP says nothing about Roleplay. And look at the smallest order: a rate that only applies above a large amount is not the rate for a riding-lesson purchase.
The full board, with every ruleset and both factions, lives on the gold price page.

No realms, one world, four rulesets
Blizzard built Forever without a server list. The Americas share one mega-server, Europe another, and inside each you choose how to play: Normal, PvP, Roleplay or, later in the winter, Hardcore. Character names are unique across the whole region, so a name finds you wherever you stand.
For a buyer this removes the old Classic headache of a seller parked on the wrong realm and waiting for a transfer. The seller is already in your world. Two lines still divide it: the ruleset, because gold never crosses between rulesets, and the faction, because mail and the trade window never cross sides. The US and EU pages show each region on its own.
What decides the price of WoW Forever gold
Five features of the game do more to the rate than any news story or any single seller.
Nothing turns money into gold
Forever ships without the WoW Token and without paid character boosts. In retail, the money players want to spend on gold flows to Blizzard at a fixed rate; here it has no official outlet, so every coin bought moves between players and the price is set by them.
The vanilla scale keeps coin scarce
Level 60 is the cap and the old prices came with it. Quests pay in silver for a long time, a full bag of loot sells for a few gold, and most characters reach their first riding tier with little to spare.
Goals every character shares
Riding, the speed consumable and raid preparation cost the same for everyone, so demand gathers around the same figures: 100 gold, 150, 1,000. Rates bend toward those targets more than toward any announcement.
A supply measured in hours
Every coin for sale was farmed by someone, so the rate follows how many people are out gathering. When a world opens, few have gold and many want it; prices start high and ease as farming catches up. The week you buy in can matter as much as the seller you buy from.
Rulesets and factions split the market
Gold cannot move between rulesets or factions, so each region holds up to 8 separate markets rather than one. A thin market moves on its own and can sit far from its neighbours for weeks.

Your order is attached. Take it from any mailbox in a capital or an inn — the letter waits for you even if you were offline when it was sent.
It arrives the way everything else does: by mail
Order on the seller’s site
Give the name of the character that should receive it, its ruleset and its faction. That is all the seller needs, and no login is ever part of it.
Mail, trade or the auction house
Mail is the usual route: it ignores layers and waits while you are offline. A trade in person is fastest but needs both of you online, and a party invite puts you on the same layer. Large orders sometimes go through the auction house: you list an item, the seller buys it at the agreed price, and the house fee comes out of the seller’s side.
Same side only
None of the 3 routes crosses factions. An order placed for the wrong side cannot be delivered, so check it twice before you pay.
Where WoW Forever gold on sale comes from
There is no shop counter for gold anywhere in the game. What a seller lists was picked from herb nodes and ore veins, looted in dungeons, earned from quests and from margins on the auction house — the same way you would earn it, multiplied by the hours a team can put in.
That has 2 consequences worth knowing before you buy. Stock is finite and uneven: the busiest rulesets have the most gold on offer, and the quieter ones run dry first, which is why a Roleplay or Hardcore order can wait while a Normal one goes out at once. And a market paid for in hours attracts automated farming. Buying from a seller with a public rating and a track record is the simplest protection against becoming part of that chain.
What people ask before buying WoW Forever gold
Is WoW Forever gold on sale right now?
The seller posts a rate for every ruleset and faction, and the trade window above loads it as you switch. The delivery line on the seller’s own page says when an order is handed over, so read it there before you pay.
Is there a WoW Token in Forever?
No. Forever ships without the Token and without paid character boosts, so nothing in the game turns real money into gold. That absence is the reason gold changes hands between players at all.
Which ruleset has the cheapest WoW Forever gold?
It moves from week to week, so the honest answer is the table near the top of this page: it lists the lowest seller rate for each ruleset, read again every night. Pick the line your character lives on rather than the lowest one.
Which realm should I choose in Forever?
There is none to choose. Each region is a single mega-server, and the decision you make is the ruleset: Normal, PvP, Roleplay or, later in the winter, Hardcore. Gold is bought for a ruleset and a faction, not for a server.
Can an Alliance character send gold to a Horde character?
No. Mail, the trade window and the auction house all stay inside one faction, as they did in 2004. Order for the side of the character that should receive the gold.
How much WoW Forever gold does a character need?
Plan around the riding bills: 100 gold for the first tier and 1,000 for the top one, with the mount included each time. Add 150 if you want the speed consumable, and a raid budget once the first raids open on December 9.
How does the seller deliver?
Inside the game, in one of 3 ways: by mail, by a trade in person, or through the auction house. The seller needs your character name, ruleset and faction, and never your password or an authenticator code.
Do you sell the gold yourselves?
No. Goldcog is a directory: we show what the seller lists and send you to their page to order. Payment, delivery and support are theirs, and we earn a commission when you buy.
Is buying gold against the rules?
Yes. It breaks Blizzard’s End User License Agreement, and accounts have been closed for it. Blizzard has said it plans to enforce this harder in Forever than in earlier versions. Weigh that before you order.
