What beta gold is for
The beta is where you try a profession route, price the first recipes or learn how the auction house behaves before it counts. Gold makes that faster. None of it carries over: on November 4 the beta closes, and characters, items and gold go with it.
Before you order
Give the seller the exact name of the beta character, its ruleset and faction. Delivery is usually by mail. Beta access is yours to arrange; the gold is no use without it.

Order on the seller’s site
Give the name of the character that should receive it, its world type and its faction. That is all the seller needs.
Mail or a trade in person
Most orders come by mail, which ignores layers and does not need you online. For a hand-over in person, a party invite puts you both on the same layer.
Same side only
Mail and the trade window never cross factions. An order placed for the wrong side cannot be delivered, so check it twice before you pay.
About beta gold
Does beta gold carry over to launch?
No. The beta is wiped when it closes on November 4, gold included.
Do I need beta access to use it?
Yes. The seller delivers to a beta character, so you need your own access to the Forever beta.
Why buy gold for a test?
To test the expensive parts: a profession up to its top recipes, a set of gear from the auction house, a mount. It saves the hours you would otherwise spend farming on a server that is about to be reset.
